Empowerment
Afroteq fully supports the principles of empowerment and has entrenched
this belief at both shareholder and management level.
The team at Afroteq consists of handpicked members with a passion and
drive for the Facilities Management industry.
We have a Historically Disadvantaged Individual (HDI) ownership status
of 90%, which includes women and are rated by EmpowerDex as a Level
3 contributor being 81.6% compliant. Presently, our Black Empowered Ownership (BEE) stands
at 40% with management (Executive and Operational) holding 95% of the allocated shares, including
5% reserved for a share incentive scheme for junior staff.
Note: Our Empowerdex rating versus our actual shareholding will differ as we recently concluded a sale agreement with a BEE equity partner who has become an Executive Director. This will be updated once we do our next Empowerdex assessment. However, it has not negatively impacted on our rating - only strengthened it.
